Why this exists
Most waiting lists live in a spreadsheet. They work until somebody asks why they are number fourteen, and then there is no answer, because the spreadsheet only ever held the current state. The order was never a record of anything. Waitsub keeps the reason next to every movement, so the question has an answer before it is asked.
What we do not do
We do not write agreements, we do not take signatures, and we do not stand between you and the person who gets the place. When there is a winner we hand over their contact details and stop. Embracing that part may come later, but we would rather do one thing properly than two things almost.
Who runs it
Waitsub is built and run by Brokensoft, a one-person software company. That means you get answers from the person who wrote the code, and it means we pick our fights: we would rather say no to a feature than ship one we cannot support.
Where it runs
The service runs on servers in Europe. Payments go through Stripe, where each customer is the merchant of record for the fees their own applicants pay. Money from an applicant never passes through our account.
